Zoobin Surty, Zorastrian dance artist from Mumbai, India,trained in Indian classical forms of dance and graduated from Northern School of Contemporary Dance – is a Cultural Dance Ambassador/resident artist from South Asian Arts in Leeds.
He has performed, choreographed, directed Dance theatre, commercials, pop stars, films with his dance company and toured India, USA, Canada, South Africa, Dubai & Japan. His expertise and experience in Contemporary Bollywood dance has been very popular in the region and believes in quality dance work.
Zoobin runs his classes all over the region with Saa-uk and promotes Indian dance in schools, colleges, Universities & dance education for people with learning difficuties. Karma dance is a part of South Asian Arts and is mentored by Keran Virdee,chief executive of SAA-uk.
He promotes Indian dance culture with Saa-uk(Karma Dance) while pursuing his Masters in Contemporary choreography & Dance in Holland & creates new dance works.
IN 2007, He Choreographed for West Yorkshire Playhouse – BOLLYWOOD JANE which was a great success.
His new dance work ‘Dukh-sukh’ toured in March 2008 with good reviews.br
His 2008 summer production, mentored by Keran Virdee, Saa-uk and CYC was a great success.
Zoobin Surty karma dance/ Saauk is a dance troupe who educate, enrich & inspire indian classical /contemporary / bollywood dance culture in the region and inspires others to dance and create performing opportunities for all ages.
